King Karma-Happiness

Here's what I've been working on the past few weeks. My friend Steven "King Karma" was about to drop an album and I was curious if he had found anybody to do his artwork. Surprisingly enough he hadn't and actually had me in mind. I had my own idea for the artwork but after he mentioned his that's what we went with and never looked back!

I also had a great opportunity to chat with Train Records from Toronto who was going to print the artwork, he also guided me through the process which I was very appreciative of since this was my first time sending album art for print! I'm quite pleased with the results but let me know what you think.

So I've been working on a potato farm called Valley Growers a lot lately. I like it most days. It's opened alot of doors for me believe it or not. I'm actually working on their website, it should be up and running....soon.

I know I haven't been posting alot lately but this iPhone should help.

One thing I'm excited about is my Model Mayhem account! I believe it's coming along really well, let me know what you think.

The Black History Month Celebration

Sunday, February 28th 2009 marked the date of the Black History Month celebration held at Laurentien University in Sudbury, Ontario.

This much anticipated event was a hit and I was very pleased to have been invited to such a wonderful event such as this one.

The event featured a supper, poetry reading, fashion show and live performance from Kwesi Selassie, and various dance groups such as Humble African Unity Tribe (H.A.U.T).

I would like to give thanks to those who made this evening a successful and interesting one and look forward to similar events in the near future.

The Black & White Affair

Well Saturday night marked the first hip-hop show I attended in Sudbury and I'm sure it was one of the first of it's kind in this city. Kold Nawledge and 40 West Records combined to voice their skills to a packed house of over 200+ people.

I hope this sparks many other shows in the near future in this city as I see something beginning to evolve. I was even surprised to see a battle at the end of the show. Sudbury has come along way with the arts scene in the past year and I encourage the up and comers to begin voicing their talent and take a stand for themselves in this city . We need to begin establishing ourselves as a reputable city that has talent in all genres of music.

I decided to have all the photographs converted to black and white which was also the theme of the night. Sorry for the delay in my posts, I will try my best to make them more frequent.

The beginning

I have decided to join the many people that share their experiences with others through "blogging". I will attempt to keep those who would like to see what's up in the life of "Lou" on a regular basis.

I'm a young artist born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on June of 1987. I have always had a passion for art from a young age experimenting with colours and light. I decided to concentrate my attention to art in 2006 when I attended the Algonquin College of Media & Design and later graduated in 2008.

On January 1st, 2009, some associates and I founded "So Right Productions" a company in Portmore, Jamaica that offers complete media production and promotion for the music industry. www.sorightentourage.com
